HRH Princess Tania de Bourbon Parme is a direct descendant of the Bourbon family of France, from Hugues Capet to Louis XIV and Louis XVI, down to the modern day.
Princess Tania’s great-grandfather HRH Robert 1st Duke of Parme was married twice and had 24 children, including her grandfather, HRH Prince René de Bourbon Parme, the brother of Princess Zita de Bourbon Parme, who was to become Empress of Austria.
In 1921, in Copenhagen, Prince René married Princess Marguerite of Denmark. They had 4 children including Princess Tania’s father, HRH Prince André de Bourbon Parme.
